GMB members eligible to vote on the rest period consultative ballot have voted 93% in favour of taking industrial action. This should send a clear message to SAS that our members have had enough of non compliance with their legal right to a rest period.
Up until now, the test of change in place for the rest period SOP has failed to produce the results that our members deserve and expect. Further changes to this have been put in place following repeated feedback from your Trade Union. It is too early to tell if these will make any noticeable differences.
Your reps will now meet in the coming days to discuss next steps.
